Ozone:We offer ozone treatment in our office in the form of ozone water and ozone gas treatment. Before each appointment we have patients rinse their mouths with ozone water to help eliminate harmful bacteria in the mouth. The extra oxygen molecules bind to bacteria and help fight it off. After periodontal therapy your hygienist might send you home with a bottle of ozone water to rinse with for the next 24 hours to promote the healing and bacterial cleansing of the gum tissues. Ozone gas is utilized to treat sensitivity and often recommended as a preventative measure when a patient has an area of demineralized dentin. Ozone gas treatment is a form of minimally invasive dentistry that is often used as an attempt to halt a problem before it progresses by remineralizing the tooth structure. We also offer other forms of minimally invasive dentistry.
Salivary diagnostics:We work with two labs that help us with salivary diagnostic testing. Patients presenting with high levels of harmful oral bacteria or bleeding gums would be a good candidate for this kind of service. A bacterial test identifies if there are elevated levels of pathogens in your mouth. If there are, these pathogens could enter your blood stream every time you eat, brush, or floss your teeth, especially if your gums are bleeding. The more commonly known consequence of oral bacteria and gum disease is tooth loss. A bacterial infection can cause damage to the teeth and supporting gums and bone. Over time the bacteria will become destructive and the ligaments attaching the teeth to the jaw bones will loosen or even dissolve.
Oral Probiotics:Our office recommends ProBioraPro oral probiotics. ProBioraPro is an oral health probiotic designed to restore the healthy bacteria balance in your mouth.
Fluoride:Fluoride treatments are a preventative measure to protect the teeth from dental caries. Fluoride will help to lower pH levels, reduce demineralization of the enamel, and prevent bacteria and acid from adhering to the enamel and deteriorating the tooth structure.
Perio Protect Trays:Perio Protect creates custom trays, molded to the mouth of an individual patient. They are designed to deliver bacteria-fighting medicine deep below the gum line where brushing and flossing simply cannot reach.
Nutritional Counseling:Diet can impact the spread of dental caries and be the cause of weakened enamel, high pH levels, recurrent decay, or excessive plaque buildup. We are trained to help you make dietary adjustments to prevent further deterioration of your dentition.
Whitening:Our office uses the KoR Whitening System and offers both in office and take-home whitening options.
Protective Sports Guards:We can order mouth guards to protect your teeth while you enjoy your sports!
Invisible Braces:Our office offers comprehensive orthodontic treatment with clear aligners and expanders. Ask our staff for an assessment to see if you are a candidate for this treatment.
Minimally Invasive Dentistry: Through preventative education and remineralization techniques, we are able to provide minimally invasive dentistry.
