New Patient Experience
Your First Visit
After contacting our office, we will schedule you for an initial consult phone call with Dr. Roper prior to coming in. She would like to get a sense of what your health goals and dental needs are. We will send you documents to complete prior to this phone call. After an understanding of what it is that you would like to accomplish and what any of your challenges may be, we will then schedule you for your comprehensive exam.
The full exam will include a jaw joint evaluation, oral cancer screening, examination the teeth and gums, x-rays and impressions when necessary, and digital photographs to help you to see everything that we can see. After the exam is completed, we will organize the information gathered so that, together, we may review the condition of your mouth and the anticipated trajectory of your health. This is usually done at a separate appointment so that we can have adequate time to study and understand your mouth. Our goal is to include you in the decision-making and planning process so that the recommended treatment suits your desired outcomes. Your input is highly valuable in determining the final treatment plan and timing.
